Colleague Randy Rodgers recently shared this video and it’s sadly ironic to hear some of the remarks made by 1981 newspaper editors captivated by the technology:

Some of the points the electronic newspaper editors make so long ago:
- “This is an experiment…”
- “We are not in it to make money”
- “We are not going to lose a lot but not make much either.”
What technologies are we embracing now as schools that will destroy the status quo? It makes me wonder what these editors are doing now…probably retired and feeling a bit guilty that they brought about the demise of newspapers.
