Just like the Moodle Cron Job
was a mystery, installing a new module and having it show up so that it
was usable in Moodle was a mystery for me. I know, I know, there are
experts out there who could have discovered this in two seconds.
What stumped me was, I found two new
modules–three now–that I wanted to deploy in our Campus Technology
Center Moodle. Those included:
- Book Module
– Multi-page resource with a book-like format - Questionnaire
Module – Custom Survey Creation - More modules suggestions
from Kassblog
Thanks to Bethany
Smith (Transparent Learning) for suggesting these additional modules:
Although I unzipped the zipped files and put them in the /mod directory
of my Moodle install, the modules would not show up. What it took to get
the modules to show up was to go to this web site:
and then the modules show up.

Playing around with the Questionnaire Module, wow, is it easy to use!

The completed survey looks like this:

And results (although there is only one there now) page looks like this:

You also get results emailed to you (which could be tiresome but I guess
there’s an option somewhere (there is!) to turn that off):

I stole some of my questions from the Georgia
Department of Education State Survey for 2006-2009 State Technology Plan,
a Ed.Gov Teacher
Technology Survey (Appendix C), and made some up of my own.
