A conversation with Atomic Learning representative Courtney (shown above). She announces a new technology literacy assessment–aligned to the new, revised ISTE National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S)–that will be released November 21st, as well as presents an overview of content, subscription costs, etc.
I was especially interested in the idea of being able to use a Moodle to manage content, as opposed to embedding it via SCORM–which Atomic Learning content can’t be used for since it lacks SCORM compliance. Users can employ key numbers embedded in the links…so you could click on the link in Moodle and it will allow you connect. Unfortunately, users will still have to login into the learning management system that Atomic Learning has.
- Microsoft Office
- Interactive whiteboards
- Adobe
- Blackboard
- Moodle
- Web 2.0 Tools (Podcasting, Delicious, blogging and so on)
Cost is $1.00 per user for subscription for access to the entire collection, but you don’t get that pricing level unless you get site licenses (yuck). Cost really seems to go up as you get a larger audience….
