19 Open Source Tools

I’m fascinated by free, open source tools, especially for their
application in K-12 education settings. Here are a few of the ones that
jump out at me as potentially useful in K-12. I have not installed or
tried them out so this list is for me a list full of possibilities. View
the complete list at this web site

My selections for investigation:

  1. Replace Human Resources HTML job posts with JobberBase,
an open source job board software. Check
    out the demo
    .
  2. Track phone calls and help requests with Open
    Ticket Request System
. "OTRS is an Open source Ticket Request
System (also well known as trouble ticket system) with many features
to manage customer telephone calls and e-mails. The system is built to
allow your support, sales, pre-sales, billing, internal IT, helpdesk,
etc. department to react quickly to inbound inquiries. "
  3. LimeSurvey for surveys….
