Partner with Us – Help Me?

Update: A few folks in my learning network brought up some interesting points about Knowledgeocity’s offer that I hadn’t considered. As a result, I’m going to heed their advice and pass on this deal. Thanks to those of you that offered feedback!

Like anyone else, finding additional sources of income without picking up too many additional duties is critical in tough economic times (or any other time!). This evening, I received an email with an invitation to participate as a partner with Knowledgeocity.

To be honest, I’m giving it serious consideration. However, I need to know what you, my readers, think. Since I want to be transparent about my motives for blogging and to share that, here’s the essence of the offer:

I would like for you to blog about our site, and at the same time, I will give you a special code which can give people a discount which you can post on the blog. Each time someone signs up from your code, you will earn 50% from each registration. You will get a check in the mail every month if people sign up from your code.

If you would like more information, please visit www.knowledgeocity.com/partner.html or email me and I will answer all your questions personally.

After watching the video that appears at the link above, I have to tell you, I’m almost sold. And, therein lies the problem. I’ve never heard of the company above, so asking them questions wouldn’t be helpful. Instead, I have to rely on my network of fellow edubloggers and folks in my learning network (that’s you!).

How about it? What do you think of this?

  1. Miguel,I think it really comes down to do you want your name as a reference for a product you do not really know? If the product is good – great! However, if your colleagues think it’s substandard – your name will be associated with it.Just my .02.
