Some recent Facebook changes could have an impact on how colleges share content with prospective students, and Princeton University is wasting no time exploring the possibilities.
Last week the social networking behemoth announced that it was creating new public profiles that would allow organizations and businesses more freedom to post status updates, share photos and video, invite comments and generally act like individual users.
If the mission of public school districts is to prepare students for college, is guiding them through the response setup and use of a Facebook account going to be a part of the package? And, when will public school districts embrace this responsibility rather than try to ignore it or through draconian policies, try to prevent it from occurring?
