This announcement was sent out to NComputing Customers….

On April 14, 2009, Microsoft released eight OS updates. One of the updates (KB956572) is incompatible with the current version of NComputing vSpace software for the
X-series and L-series. We are working on an updated version of vSpace that is compatible with this Microsoft patch.

Until then, here’s what you should do:

If you do have automatic Microsoft OS updates turned on:

• Turn off automatic Microsoft OS updates so that you can test their updates before deploying them.
• Temporarily un-install KB956572. Instructions are available in our Technical Support Knowledge Base at http://www.ncomputing.com/support.aspx or click here to link directly to a PDF.
• For more information on this update from Microsoft see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956572

If you do not have automatic Microsoft OS updates turned on:

• Your NComputing systems should be unaffected.
• Do not install KB956572 until we release a compatible vSpace update.

Once the new vSpace update is released, we will notify you via e-mail. At that point you can install KB956572.

Update 04/24/2009:

Software updates accommodating the Microsoft KB956572 patch are only available for the X300, X350 and X550 models today. The necessary changes for the L-series software have been identified and will be included with the next L-series update to be available shortly. We will notify you again when the L-series update is available. As per our prior notice, you can simply uninstall Microsoft KB956572 for continued use of your current version of NComputing vSpace software for the L-series.
