Update 05/02/2009 – Interviews will involve just the winners of the election. The election is over (ended yesterday) so candidates suggested just interviewing the winners. Personally, it would have been valuable to interview all of them but….
The TCEA Technology Education Coordinators Special Interest Group (TEC-SIG) is meeting next week to elect new officers, including Vice-President and Treasurer. All of the candidates are wonderful folks and it’s great that TEC-SIG Members have awesome candidates to choose from.
Howdy! May I record a short interview with you this weekend regarding your vision for TEC-SIG? I’m making the same offer to all candidates for TEC-SIG Office. Questions include:
* Please introduce yourself, your job title, and your years in TEC-SIG.
* Share a story about how TEC-SIG has helped you be a better technology coordinator.
* How do you see TEC-SIG adapting and growing in the face of new technologies that enable communication and collaboration?
* Would you describe what concrete steps you plan to take to facilitate greater community and forward movement for TEC-SIG?
* What do you wish you could have shared with TEC-SIG Members to encourage them to support your candidacy? We can do the interview over the phone (I’ll be using Skype) and that will help the at-large membership get to know you. A photo would be great, too!
Let me know…it will be fun and informative! As a member, I couldn’t understand why more info wasn’t shared about the candidates online. Hence, my motivation.
Since all the candidates agreed, I sent them this follow-up email:
Awesome, we’re all on board! Here are some time slots…let me know when (first come, first served)…if these don’t work for you, Sunday evening is open, too.
