Problem – How can I write something today in a Moodle Discussion Forum but have it sent out a week from today?

Solution:
You can use a timed post feature that is accessible through Administration->Modules->Forum setting in your Moodle. This is what that looks like:

This is a feature I had no idea existed until a random tweet caught my eye, highlighting Helen Foster’s Moodle forum post.

To see the options, go to your favorite forum and add a new topic and at the bottom of the page that appears (after your message box), you’ll see something like this:
