Educators should be jumping for joy…an excerpt from an email about this appears below:
Dear Texas Library, Technology and Curriculum Leaders:
We are happy to report that the Texas State Legislature re-authorized funding for the K-12 Databases Program. Rider 78 was added to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) budget and directs the Commissioner of Education to transfer amounts not to exceed $2.5 million in each year of the next biennium to TSLAC for the purpose of acquiring online research and information resources for libraries in public schools, and for administrative expenses.
What does that mean for your campus? If your are currently participating in the state funded K-12 Databases program you will continue to receive the same great access at http://web.esc20.net/access.
To learn more about the program please visit the K-12 Databases official website at http://web.esc20.net/k12databases
If you are not currently taking advantage of this program, fill out an activation form and submit to us at your earliest convenience. Download the form at http://web.esc20.net/k12databases/activation.htm
