Qualifications for the position:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Technology
2. Master’s Degree, preferred
3. Valid Texas Teaching Certificate, K-12 teacher or media specialist
4. Minimum three – five years teaching experience in a school setting
5. Ability to effectively relate to students
6. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
7. Experience working with adult learners to model technology integration into the curriculum at the campus or district level
8. Experience in planning and implementing as well as evaluating technology-based instructional software programs
9. Provide technical support for beginning technology users, preferably in educational settings
10. Ability to utilize productivity software products aligned to the Technology Applications, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), in appropriate grade level
11. Foster curriculum development that models integration of appropriate technology tools in K-12 settings
12. Web-enable and/or work with spreadsheets and databases such as Excel and Access in support of curriculum-technology integration initiatives
13. Demonstrated skills in the following areas:
    • Knowledge of best practices in curriculum, assessment, instruction, and instructional technology
    • Working knowledge of educational technology including, but not limited to, Windows computers, networks, telecommunications, and educational and teacher software
    • Familiarity with the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology, No Child Left Behind Title II
    • Familiarity with the Technology Applications TEKS and the ISTE NETS Standards for students, teachers, administrators, and facilitators
    • Ability to enhance instruction by integrating technology into all subjects and grade levels
    • Possess strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills • Proficient in Word, Access, Power Point, and Excel
    • Demonstrate problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adapt to change
