Save the date to attend this San Antonio Writing Conference on February 6, 2010!
You are invited to attend “Making Connections Through Writing,” the 4th Annual Teacher’s Conference on Writing and Learning Across the Curriculum, Pre-K-College. The conference will be held on Saturday February 6th of next year and is sponsored by the San Antonio Writing Project, the local site of the National Writing Project hosted at UTSA.
At this conference you will see excellent presentations by experienced San Antonio Writing Project Teacher Consultants who will share successful writing activities from their classrooms. These teaching demonstrations will provide participants with a variety of innovative ideas for incorporating writing into the classroom. The San Antonio Writing Project believes that writing is an essential part of learning and literacy in all subjects, so we encourage you to invite your colleagues from all disciplines at your school to attend. Refreshments will also be provided.
We are excited that this year’s keynote address will be given by Diane Bertrand, local author and educator. In addition, one session will be a dramatic performance of Edgar Alan Poe’s life and work from Dan Kalderi. Teachers who attend will earn three Professional Development Credits (PDC) offered through the Academy for Teacher Excellence.
