Like other folks online, I’m interested in getting things done with a minimum of fuss. I absolute dislike having to select Twitter–or Plurk–users ONE BY ONE. That’s why I was so grateful to Cory Plough for sharing his presentation on social media with me earlier this week!
In Cory’s resources, there was a link to TweepML.com, a web site that allows you to easily create lists of Twitter users. You click the link and you immediately start following every Twitter account on the list. It’s a real time-saver, especially for teachers who want students to follow everyone in class, or if you want to introduce folks to certain “twitterers” in a particular area, such as Moodle Mayhem.
Follow Moodle Mayhem members’ twitters by clicking the link below:
When you click on the link above, it will start the process. It works great!
To get your own list going, follow these steps:
- Sign up for an account at TweepML.org FIRST rather than later. Trust me, it will save you some frustration.
- Format all your twitter users on the list with http://twitter.com/username in a text document then paste that into the box provided. You can also try without the “http://twitter.com” but it didn’t work that way for me, no matter what the image below looks like now:

- Copy-n-paste the URL or links provided, as shown below:

What an easy way to build your PLN and share it with others!
