Regrettably, I missed the deadline to submit to TCEA last week. I was swimming laps at the time.
TCEA received great reviews from your 2011 convention presentation(s). Many attendees returned to their classrooms, campuses, and districts with exciting new content to share and begin implementing because of your willingness to share your knowledge and expertise. We invite you to submit a presentation to be considered for inclusion in the 2012 TCEA conference program.
More than 400 presentations and hands-on workshops will be offered at the week-long convention February 6-10, 2012 in Austin, Texas.
The deadline is coming up very soon. Please submit your proposal by Monday, May 30, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. CST
As to what to present, hmm, here are some possible workshop titles:
- Blogging: Breathe In, Breathe Out – Finding time for engaging yourself and the world in passion-based learning via social media tools. Amidst the many social media tools, discover how your voice can echo through the blogosphere through the strategic use of various tools.
- Be the Moodle Administrator – Want to get Moodle started in your learning environment but don’t know what questions to ask? Or, have questions but don’t know the answers? This hands on workshop will help you setup your own Moodle server on your laptop and tackle some of the tough questions Moodle admins frequently ask.
- Optimizing eLearning Opportunities – Professional learning challenges enable us to show off our instructional design capabilities using technology. Moodle, a course management system, enables professional learning opportunities that can reach a wide audience with diverse needs. Learn how you can optimize professional learning in your K-12 adult learning environment.
Due to the rush, I only submitted the last two. But I’d be happy to offer the first for a virtual conference!
