JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   Education/Certification:

  • Master’s Degree

  • College degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Teaching/Education, Curriculum, Business, School Administration or related field.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to remain current with hardware, software, and communication technologies utilized in an education environment

  • Ability o coordinate major technology projects

  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to network with people, resources and opportunities
JOB DESCRIPTION:   Provide direction, management, and leadership in the integration of technology with the instructional programs of the District and the delivery of information technology services necessary to support all facets of district operations, including instruction and administration. This position will report to the Superintendent.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise in the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan for the use of instructional technology

  • Provide required administrative and technical support for curriculum and instructional technology components

  • Coordinate technology efforts among campuses 

  • Plan and implement training programs for instructional technology

  • Evaluate and recommend improvement in the purposes, designs, materials and implementation of the instructional technology and other support programs 

  • Facilitate the planning application of emerging technologies in the classroom

  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Three to five years management or administrative experience

  • Experience in an educational environment

  • Affiliation with and participation in professional organizations emphasizing technology
