These quotes came across from a Twitter search on the hashtag #MACTOClinic14 . I wish I could attend Texas CTO meetings but…[fill in an excuse that doesn’t work here]. Some of my favorites include the fact that COSN CTO organization requires institutional memberships, rather than individual membership.

Still, like a critter scrabbling after crumbs from the table, I’m thrilled to run across these gems via Twitter. Apparently, Martha Heller is delivering a keynote…my favorite tweets include the following:

1. It’s hard to be strategic if your hair is on fire.
2. The more transparent the CIO can be about their deliverables the less chance they ill be a scapegoat if fails.
3. As an IT leader, your successes are silent and your failures are publicized.

I can write a whole blog entry about each of these 3 quotes, and probably will. Stay tuned!
