Keynote Turns into Learning Opportunity #coding #stem

A few months ago, I had the chance to keynote a conference held at Houston Baptist University (HBU). Special thanks to Dr. Dawn Wilson and Dr. Katie Alaniz for the invitation to speak. While at the event, I met Danica Botts in person.

Want to find out more about my presentation? I covered some of the main points in a blog entry, Kindling STEM Learning in Your Classroom

In preparing that keynote, I found myself attending some of the sessions at the conference. One of them was Danica Botts’ (@TeachingNChucks) session on digital humanities (be sure to read Danica’s published article on coding). What I thought was going to be a session about…well, humanities, ended up being about coding.
