Over the last year, I’ve tried out different RSS feed readers. I’m not sure why I didn’t look for browser-based RSS feed readers sooner. I’d gotten tired of dealing with advertisements in popular online RSS aggregators.
My first attempt was with QuiteRSS, a program that sorta worked but looked terrible unless I modified font sizes.
My second attempt was with Vivaldi’s RSS feed reader. I liked the reader and the fact you could interact with IMAP email (great for moving messages from one account to another). This solution last a bit longer than the others. I suppose I shouldn’t be grumpy about Vivaldi’s solution…even though I couldn’t find an easy export subscriptions button.
Feedbro, At Last!
My most recent attempt is with Feedbro, a Firefox-browser add-on that is quite nice!
What’s cool is that it’s easy to import/export feeds into Feedbro. And, it looks fantastic on screen. That’s WAY better than the other solutions I tried. I’m hoping that Firefox sync will bring Feedbro, and my subscriptions to blogs, into my other Firefox installations on various devices at work. We’ll see.
In the meantime, it’s so easy to import and export.
Give it a spin…Feedbro works for Chrome, Vivaldi (oops), Firefox, and other browsers.
