Mastodon Instance Jumper

On the Road again…trying out a new Mastodon instance

Gosh, I’ve jumped Mastodon instances again. How much has that been? Let me count the ways…

  1. octadon.social
  2. scholar.social
  3. mstdn.social
  4. mas.to (still have my account open there for training purposes)
  5. hcommons.social
  6. qoto.org (I know some folks have problems with this instance, but I don’t)
  7. mastodon.education
  8. zirk.us – this is my current Mastodon instance.
I’m only active on the bolded instances shown above. The Zirk.US is the one I’m using for general purpose stuff, think of it as a personal instance. I’m going to use the Mastodon.Education for education purposes exclusively. The mas.to is totally a backup.
You can find me @mguhlin@zirk.us or for TCEA specific items, @mguhlin@mastodon.education. People ask why I’ve switched so much, and the answer is simple. Every instance is a different community, offering different features. And, I learn something new every time I jump from one space to another.
