Follow Twitter Accounts via RSS

This is pretty cool…don’t want to be on Twitter all the time (or at all?), but still follow certain accounts/users? This can be great for those folks who aren’t on Twitter but still have a need to see what’s happening there. What I like about this is that I don’t have to login to Twitter to see the latest and greatest info from people. What’s more, I am able to organize my Twitter feeds into folders/groups via my RSS Reader (which happens to be FeedBro).

Twitter RSS feeds are now available by navigating to any Twitter user’s profile and adding openrss.org/ in your browser URL bar. (source)

You can take any user’s account, like these below, then add them to an RSS Reader like FeedBro and you will see them appear in your feed , as shown below:

I’ve added a few more feeds since I took this screenshot, but the general anatomy (which you can generate in your browser) of a feed looks like this:

Then copy-n-paste that into FeedBro:
