Has AI eclipsed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse? While I have seen some cartoons depicting “Climate Change” appearing on a bigger horse, which does eclipse Famine, Death, Pestilence/Conquest, and War, AI should be a contender.

 Climate change makes all of these realities, the existential terrors, real. Do we need to explore how for each? Of course, even if you negate the reality of climate change, the fiction of modern doom criers, the truth of the four remains. But then, what if you eschew the Scriptural authority of this fable? Cast it aside, the dreams of a madman’s prophecy with a narrow perspective (sorry, John)?

AI as the Horseman of the Apocalypse?

Could AI’s issues be apocalyptic enough to eclipse all the others? Or, could AI be the single trigger event that results in the arrival of the other horsemen? That is, brings about death and famine and mayhem but not as part of some religious cosmology?

Ah, well. I have no idea. The well’s run dry on this topic. It was fun to consider. Well, as fun as considering apocalypse is.

Just pick your scary topic, add some weird stuff that frightens the heck out of you, and voila, you have a horseman of the apocalypse. It may not be the End of All Things, but rather, your end.
