Google Capitulates on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Reduction #DEI

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are being banned, the history of oppression being whitewashed.

It’s bad, but their efforts to banish horrible realities in the past and suppress people now highlights those evil acts. We are headed for a reckoning because every act they take leads us to resolve the injustices they commit to seize power.

But many of us are stuck using products from DEI reductionists.

It’s not easy to give it up, but we weren’t born with it. Time to sever those connections.

Google is following in the footsteps of Meta and Amazon by eliminating its goal of hiring from historically underrepresented groups while also reviewing its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The company has reportedly informed employees of the change, while parent firm Alphabet has removed a phrase about commitment to DEI from its annual report.

So disappointing.
