Updating My List of Bots and Custom GPTs #AI #ChatGPT #BoodleBox

As I look forward to several AI presentations in the next few months, I’m making a shift in my “custom GPTs” or “Bots” that I’m sharing with others.

I’ve decided to create the exact same generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) for two of my favorite tools, including:

  • ChatGPT
  • BoodleBox

I have to admit that Google Gemini plays a key role in development. I absolutely love how Gemini’s GEM designer helps you craft custom instructions. Most of my creations start out as Gems. What’s disappointing about Google Gemini Gems? You can’t share them with others.

Sharing is Caring

Since I can’t share my Google Gemini Gems with others, I end up recreating them in ChatGPT Custom GPT tool (which is still phenomenal!) for easy sharing. I am trying to find a long-term home for my creations, and I am hoping that BoodleBox may be it. So I’m running it head to head for some of the workshops I’m doing going forward.

Creating Bots or GPTs

Some time ago, I created the Critical Thinking Analysis Tool. This was one of my first efforts at a custom GPT, where I relied on a megaprompt. Now, I realize I don’t need to depend on a megaprompt. Instead, I follow my standard approach of creating:

  • Custom instructions
  • Background Knowledge
  • Exemplars of output desired
  • Reference documents are provided

Some creations require only custom instructions, while other more complex creations require everything. But by making these modular, you save yourself time if you ever have to update something (which can be useful).

Revisiting Skeptical Thinker

For an upcoming workshop on Critical Thinking Made Simple, which should appear on this page on June 17th or 18th, I’ll be demonstrating Skeptical Thinking Evaluator, the latest iteration of my Critical Thinking Analysis Tool. I can’t wait to share it with folks in the audience, but you can give it a try right now!

This is one slide in the 70 slide presentation I’ll be sharing. Here are the links from the slide deck:
