MyNotes: AI as Cognitive Infrastructure

Wow, this piece by Carlo Iacono blew my mind. What a cool way to describe GenAI:

We spent years asking “when will AI be as smart as humans?” but what’s emerging is something that doesn’t fit that framework at all. It’s not trying to be human. It’s becoming something unprecedented:

a kind of cognitive infrastructure, a layer of intelligence that sits between human intention and digital execution.

…intelligence isn’t a single capability you can maximise. It’s an ecosystem of specialised competencies that need to be orchestrated.

Great read! Check it out.
