Session Description

Not all teaching strategies are created equal, yet coaches often focus on low-impact practices. This session dives deep into coaching teachers to implement the most effective instructional strategies from Hattie’s research, focusing on strategies with effect sizes above 0.75, including Jigsaw Method (0.92), Transfer Strategies (0.75), and Reciprocal Teaching (0.74).

We’ll explore coaching techniques that help teachers understand when and how to use these strategies effectively while addressing common implementation challenges. Participants will practice strategy-specific coaching scenarios and leave with implementation guides, troubleshooting protocols, and video examples for each high-impact strategy.
