Session Description

Even the best coaches face resistance, pushback, and challenging conversations that can derail progress. This session addresses common sources of teacher resistance to change and provides evidence-based strategies for building trust and motivation during difficult coaching situations. We’ll practice principled pushback techniques, explore how to redirect teachers toward more effective practices, and develop skills for maintaining collaborative relationships even when tensions arise.

Participants will role-play challenging scenarios and leave with conversation scripts, de-escalation strategies, trust-building protocols, and follow-up frameworks for turning resistance into growth opportunities.
