Backstory

Chatting with someone today, I realized they weren’t familiar with using Gen AI for health purposes. I have enjoyed great success following the suggestions of Broccy, a health bot I created some time back to help me manage my meals and help figure out what was OK to eat. Even when you know you want to eat healthy, doing so with information off of nutrition labels is insufficient to get the job done. I’ve lost weight, avoided any serious medical conditions that plague “good eaters” using Broccy’s suggestions.

When I shared that story with someone, they showed some skepticism. I see the chasm that lies between using Gen AI and not using it, especially for something so positive, as huge. It makes me grateful that I’ve made the moves to cross that space between ignorance and being better informed.
