Ten Years at the Job

Wow, it’s hard to believe that today, March 21, I have been on the job at a nonprofit education association for ten years. Working since February, 1990 through 2026 (when this post appears) so far, that is a tremendous journey. 36 years so far with no plans on stopping! 😂

By week’s end, I will have worked in nonprofit education longer than any other single school district job. Colleagues at work dropped these images on me:

What’s really amazing is how much I have learned in the last ten years. I am so grateful for the experience.

In my post at the top of the ed tech mountain ( TechOps director), I thought I had learned so much  and was approaching the end of my career. But then nonprofit work started and I have continued to learn. Going forward, I need to be a little more focused on the nonprofit space rather than simply applying my k-12 experiences to it.

For fun, I had Gen Ai cook up some infographics and interactive visuals with various AI tools.
