Mary “MoodleFairy” Cooch tweeted a question this morning that intrigued me:
in Word2007 what’s that code you type for it to produce a whole load of random typing please?
My response, which I swiped from this My Digital Life blog entry:
to get random text, type “=lorem(n)” where n=number of pages of text you want. use “=rand(x,y)” where x=paragraphs,y=sentences
Type either one of those without quotes in the body of a document. nifty! I had no idea!

That's a cool feature. Too bad it doesn't work in Word 2008 (Mac), though.

When I use it in Word 2007, the code "=lorem(n)" generates n number of paragraphs not pages. That's at least my experience. Thanks for the cool tip.
