Ok, before you call me on the fact that I’m pushing an m90z ThinkCentre from Lenovo (think of the giveaway coming sometime later this Spring), I have to share TechSavvyEducator (Ben Rimes) fun video of his kindergarten darling working with TuxPaint.

And, if you’ve missed TuxPaint, you really need to go get it installed on your machine. It’s a fun, easy paint tool reminiscent of KidPix (for you old timers that remember it), as well as free, open source.
Tux Paint is a free, award-winning drawing program for children ages 3 to 12 (for example, preschool and K-6). It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program.

Thanks for the nice nod there, although I'm sure you already know my daughter deserves all the credit :)I'm hoping some more edubloggers get into this so we can really put this machine through it's paces, but I understand the reality of life, and especially what's going on around the country right now, especially the cutbacks down in Texas.If only indeed…would be nice to see what could be done, but I think in a way what's more powerful is what we're doing in education with so little. Scarcity breeds creativity, ingenuity, and opportunity, and perhaps you'll find some clever ways to use your m90z 🙂
