Meme: Share Your Skitch Art

Skitch.com is a webservice that works hand in hand with our application Skitch to give you 1-click uploading of images for fast and fun image sharing.

Unlike Jing.com that somehow locks you into a proprietary format (SWF) that you can’t convert (no, don’t try…I’ve tried them all, including that ad-obsessed Super) that you can easily upload to a web service Jing decides to use, Skitch doesn’t do anything like that. With Skitch, you can save out to multiple image formats, and then, if you want to, upload it to MySkitch.com for easy sharing. There’s a lesson in there for the Jing folks, if they’d bother to learn it.

I’ve been using Skitch for some time now, and i’ve already decided I’m going to buy it when it comes out…and it only works on Mac, one of the platforms I spend only a moderate amount of time on! For Windows users who are desperate, you can get similar functionality out of FastStoneCapture (get the free version), but it’s not the same or as good as Skitch.

While there are plenty of folks sharing (links to Flickr) how much they love Skitch–like I just did–HOW are they actually using Skitch?

What is one of your most beloved Skitch art? So, with that question in mind, I hereby launch a the new SkitchArt Meme. Simple rules – 1) Add to Flickr with this tag “SkitchArt”; 2) Link back to this blog entry; 3) Encourage others to share their SkitchArt with the rest of us and link back here.
