Update: Turns out that, no, I hadn’t missed this Moodle but I had forgotten about it. I ran across it while reading my own blog. Sigh. Getting old. 8->
Always on the lookout for great stuff regarding Moodle, I was totally caught off-guard by this recommendation by Peggy George. I missed this–completely.
Peggy points out the following:
My “go to” person for excellent examples and experience using Moodle and Elluminate is Tammy Moore. She does this with her Virtual Home School group for K-12 students, and she is the administrator of the system. Her Moodle site is: http://www.virtualhomeschoolgroup.com/ She has done some really creative things using Voicethread to provide short tutorials throughout her site and courses.
She did a great presentation about ways she uses Elluminate with Moodle on our Classroom 2.0 LIVE show in May, 2010, and I’m sure she would be happy to answer questions. Her email is on her Moodle site. Tammy is our faithful, fantastic volunteer on the show who provides Closed Captioning in all of our Elluminate webinars.

Now, while Tammy uses Voicethread.com to great effect, you aren’t limited to those tools. Here’s a list I refer to often for embeddable tools, and MoodleNews has a shorter list with examples worth investigating:
Here’s a quick list, with a link to my test course where you can see these things in actionhttp://www.joedle.com/course/view.php?id=19 (login with test account username: student; password: student). Check out the gallery below for a shot of each example.
Kudos to Tammy and Joseph for their modeling! It is much appreciated!
